At Rediscover Physio we know that it can be hard to have the motivation or the confidence to do your prescribed exercises while recovering from an injury. We also believe the best way to stay motivated in achieving your health and fitness goals is to do so with a support along the way.
That’s why we have created the Strength Classes in our private gym facility to provide members of the Sunshine Coast access to private classes. These classes are motivating, cost-effective, and encouraging environment to complete your rehabilitation and injury prevention exercises under the watchful eye of one of our Physiotherapists.
These programs are suitable for patients that are recovering from chronic injury or trying to prevent a flare up of a previous injury. They are designed to strengthen and build your capacity to complete day to day activities and hobbies without any pain.
Falls Prevention Class
Compelling evidence indicates that engaging in suitable exercise can decrease the frequency of falls by nearly a quarter (23%) over time and lower the incidence of falls by 15%. If you’ve experienced a fall or fear falling, we offer evidence-based exercises tailored to enhance your balance, stability and strength on your feet.
Physiotherapy and falls often go hand-in-hand together. At Rediscover Physio our practitioners frequently attend to individuals prone to stumbling and falls. The common consequences of these falls include wrist and hip fractures, concussions, pain, and extended hospital stays.
Individuals living with disabilities or older individuals are at a heightened risk of falls due to weakened muscles, balance issues, diminished eyesight, and cognitive impairments such as slower reaction times and dementia.
However, falls are not inevitable, and can be prevented. Through crafting personalized exercise programs our Physiotherapist can mitigate the risk of falls and sustain the individuals active and independent lifestyles.
Sports Rehab
Injuries in Sport suck and can be difficult to rehabilitate without the funding of a professional sporting team to support you.
Thats why at Rediscover Physio we have Sports Rehab Classes. These are special classes taken by our APA Titled Sports and Exercise Physiotherapist. They are ideally suited to athletes with injuries that require progressive exercises to keep building them back to a return to sport.
Athletes that this program would suit include but are not limited to athletes with ACL injuries, swimmers with shoulder injuries or runners suffering from injuries including runners knee or stress injuries.
Other Athletes that would benefit from this class are athletes that are looking to take their sport to the next level, by getting into the gym and strengthening their weak areas to better improve their performance.
