Massage, manipulation and mobilisation are all recognised techniques to reduce tightness and tension in muscles and joints. Physiotherapists use these techniques to reduce your symptoms and to aid your recovery.
Practicing out of Oz Fitness gym, we have access to a hydrotherapy pool. Hydrotherapy is a technique used to relieve pressure and tension on affected muscles and joints. This allows us to move in the water, where it otherwise would have been painful on land.
An important part of recovering from an injury is building back your strength to do the things you want to do, this includes; pushing a full shopping trolley, carrying your 2 year old kid, and running up or down hills.
This all requires a mixture of at home exercises and in clinic strengthening during your consult.
